Xiaofeng Jia, M.D., M.S., Ph.D., FCCM is the Neurosurgical Stem Cell Research director and directs the Translational Neuroengineering and Neuroscience Laboratory at the University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB). He is a professor with tenure in the Department of Neurosurgery, Orthopedics, Anatomy Neurobiology at UMB, and an adjunct professor of the Department of Biomedical Engineering at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. Dr. Jia has been serving as the Chair of the Research Section Steering Committee, a member of the Discovery Steering Committee, the Discovery Oversight Committee, and the Society of Critical Care Medicine (SCCM). He is is a fellow of the American College of Critical Care Medicine (FCCM) and a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons (AAOS) (basic science) and the American Association for Hand Surgery (AAHS). Dr. Jia is the Section Editor in Chief of the International Journal of Molecular Sciences, section "Molecular Pathology, Diagnostics, and Therapeutics".
