Dr. Chii-Dong Ho received his B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering at National Taiwan University in 1981 and his M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering at New Mexico State University, U.S.A in 1984 and 1986, respectively. He had been a faculty member in the Department of Chemical & Materials Engineering at Tamkang University (TKU) shortly after the commencement in Las Cruces, NM, from which the next chapter in research and teaching commences at TKU, for more than 30 years. He had served in leadership roles at TKU as the Dean of the College of Engineering from 2010 to 2016, as the Secretary General from 2016 to 2018, and currently as the Vice President for Academic Affairs from 2018 to 2022. He had earned several college- and university-wide recognitions in teaching and research. In 2019, he was named the University Distinguished Professor. His research fields focus on (but not limited to) solar assisted membrane distillation, membrane absorption, membrane separation processes, and heat and mass exchanger designs. Professor Ho has authored about 250 SCI publications in academic journals and has served as a principal investigator on several national research grants.
