JIAN DONG received his B.S. degree in communication engineering from Hunan University, Changsha, China, in 2004, and his Ph.D. degree in information and communication engineering from the Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST), Wuhan, China, in 2010. From 2006 to 2010, he was a Research Assistant with the National Key Laboratory of Science and Technology on Multispectral Information Processing, HUST. From 2016 to 2017, he was a Visiting Scholar with the Eledia Research Center, the University of Trento, Italy. He is currently a Full Professor at the School of Computer Science and Engineering, Central South University. He has published 6 books and over 130 peer-reviewed academic papers in international journals and conferences. He holds over 18 innovation patents. His current research interests include antennas, metamaterials, wireless communications, machine learning and its applications to electromagnetics and medical big data. He is a member of the Young Talents Board of Zhijiang Lab, a member of the expert database of Changsha Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology and Shaoguan Municipal Enterprise Innovation Development, and a commissioner of the Guangdong Ministry of Enterprise Science and Technology Commissioner. He has served as a Committee Member of EITCE 2021, as a Session chair for IEEE ICMMT, IEEE NEMO, IEEE ISAPE, ACES, PIERS, and ICECIT, and as a guest editor for the Journal of Mathematics.
