Sergio Amedeo Pignari received his Laurea (Master’s) and Ph.D. degrees in electronic engineering from the Politecnico di Torino, Turin, Italy, in 1988 and 1993, respectively. From 1991 to 1998, he was an Assistant Professor at the Department of Electronics, Politecnico di Torino, Turin, Italy. In 1998, he joined Politecnico di Milano, Milan, Italy, where he is currently a Full Professor with the Department of Electronics, Information and Bioengineering. He teaches Basic Circuit Theory and Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC), and coordinates a Research Group on EMC. His research interests are in the field of EMC and include characterization of interference effects, distributed parameter circuit modeling, statistical techniques for EMC, and experimental procedures and setups for EMC testing.
