Dr. Kim is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Architectural Engineering in Gachon University, Gyeonggi-do, Korea. Professor Kim received her Ph.D. in Structural Engineering from Hongik University in 2016. Her Ph.D. research was related to the local buckling behavior of pultruded fiber-reinforced polymer plastic (PFRP) structural members, and she conducted research on civil engineering structures using fiber-reinforced polymer plastics, such as a floating photovoltaic energy-generation system, GFRP pipes for the cooling water intake line of the nuclear power plant, hybrid GFRP–concrete composite piles, etc. Her research results are published in eminent national and international journals indexed in SCI, SCIE, SCOPUS, etc.
