The present study investigates a conceptual research framework on financial literacy in various investment planning and decision-making stages. The study comprises a review of 2182 articles published in peer-reviewed journals from 2001 to 2022 (January). The study employed bibliometric techniques such as citation network analysis, co-citation analysis, content analysis, publication trends, and keyword analysis to analyze the literature on financial literacy. The study aims to add to the literature on financial literacy by proposing ten clusters to improve research on financial literacy in order to help investors learn better. Financial literacy has evolved from a fledgling discipline to a significant teaching and research tool. Therefore, it is vital to investigate and identify current research trends in this field. The results are essential to the financial community, given that institutions and society are increasingly emphasizing financial literacy to strengthen individual citizens’ responsibilities in designing their investment strategies.

Economic policy uncertainty (EPU) adversely affects financial system functioning with potentially critical repercussions for economies and corporations worldwide. Financial system efficiency (FSE) has a vital influence on fostering optimal economic growth and development; however, the impact of EPU on FSE remains under-explored. This study investigates the effect of EPU on FSE along with its components financial institution efficiency (FIE) and financial market efficiency (FME). Using data from 22 countries over a 20-year period (2002–2021), our analysis reveals a significant negative effect of EPU on FSE, FIE and FME. Notably, our split-sample analysis highlights the accentuated adverse effects of EPU in high-EPU regimes, emphasising the importance of vigilance during periods of elevated policy uncertainty. We conduct a series of sensitivity tests, including alternative measures of EPU, FSE, FIE and FME, and apply two-stage least squares and two-step dynamic system generalised method of moments estimators and introduce additional control variables. These tests consistently reaffirm the core conclusions of our study. Finally, we discuss the implications of our findings for policymakers.

Differences in institutions have garnered much attention in recent years as one of the primary reasons for long-term economic performance, and a vast corpus of theoretical and empirical research demonstrates that financial development can have a substantial impact on economic and financial performance. In fast-growing emerging markets, the demand for financial services has considerably increased, which amplified the need for an efficient regulatory framework to deal with the sensitive nature of financial activities. Surprisingly, the existing literature on the impact of institutions and finance is focused on developed economies, while emerging markets are rarely focused on. Since emerging markets are becoming increasingly important as a result of the swift evolution of institutional and financial transformation, it is crucial to examine how the growth of financial markets reacts to institutional quality. This study investigates the role of institutions in promoting finance in emerging economies using the balanced panel dataset of 21 emerging market. Given the endogenous relationship between institutions and finance, the paper applies a two-stage least squares estimator to test the settler mortality hypothesis in this context. Aligned with theoretical intuition, the empirical result shows that settler mortality is a relevant instrument to institutions. Furthermore, the study performs robustness, using framework that deals with heterogeneity, and cross-section dependence. This empirical effort validates La Porta’s Law and Finance Hypothesis in the context of emerging markets. The results of the study are found robust across the variety of alternative measures of institutions and finance, and standard error correction specifications. Therefore, the study offers useful insight into policy implications.

Employability skills and job opportunities are major factors for addressing employment and national development. Rapid changes and enhancements in technology have forced universities to prepare students to compete in the changing workplace environment. This study tries to analyze the impact of E-learning on the employability skills and job opportunities of students. The mixed approach method was adopted. Three hundred eighty-seven students for quantitative analysis and twenty randomly selected alumni members for qualitative study have been comprised in the sample. The study selected multivariate analysis techniques and results were tested using structural equation modeling technique in IBM-AMOS. The word cloud method helped for the qualitative part of this research. The findings of this research show the positive role of E-learning environment on the employability skills and job opportunities of the students as per the labor market demand. This study is less explored in terms of assessing the role of E-learning and employability of business students in Saudi Arabia. Hence, this research can be of great value to all the stakeholders of universities to upgrade the E-learning environment in enhancing the work skills of students.

India and Australia forged stronger connections, notably in the economic domain, during the period after their independence. The Free Trade Agreement, formally referred to as the Economic Cooperation and Trade Agreement, between India and Australia became operational in December 2022. This article aims to analyses India's trading prospects with Australia. In order to accomplish the goal, a Revealed Comparative Advantage, Trade Intensity Index, and Trade Potential Index have been computed utilizing secondary data obtained from the UNCOMTRADE Database. The findings indicated that both nations had a notable edge in distinct goods. It signifies that there are some goods in which the nation is not engaging in competition with each other. This study examines the potential sectors for commodities where bilateral commerce might be advantageous, making a Free commerce Agreement (FTA) a mutually beneficial arrangement for both countries.
