Pu Zhou is a researcher at the National University of Defense Technology. He graduated from the National University of Defense Technology with a doctorate in optical engineering in 2009, and his thesis was rated as the 2012 National Outstanding Doctoral Dissertation. He is currently engaged in the research of fiber lasers and beam synthesis technology. As the project leader, he has undertaken 7 scientific research projects such as the National Natural Science Foundation and the 863 Program and won 1 first prize in natural sciences in Hunan Province. In 2013, he was funded by the National Natural Science Foundation Outstanding Young Scientist Fund, and in the same year, he was selected into the "New Century Excellent Talent Support Program" of the Ministry of Education.
