Dilsat Ozkan-Ariksoysal received her PhD in the field of analytical chemistry from Ege University (Izmir, Turkey) in 2006. She worked as an Assistant Professor from 2008 to 2012 and as an Associated Professor from 2012 to 2020 at the Analytical Chemistry Department of the Faculty of Pharmacy in Ege University. She has been working in the same department of the Ege University as a Full Professor since 2020. Her areas of interest include the development of electrochemical and optical (nano)biosensors containing DNA, RNA, aptamer-, enzymatic-, and immuno-based detection strategies and advanced nanomaterials (carbon nanotubes, graphenes, magnetic nanoparticles, gold nanoparticles, etc.). In these studies, she has performed analyses of subjects including nucleic acid (DNA, miRNA) hybridization, DNA damage, detection of compound-DNA interactions, food safety, and environmental analyses related to microorganisms. Dilsat Ozkan-Ariksoysal has participated in many national and international colloborative research projects. She has authored or co-authored more than 110 research papers and conference proceedings (Web of Science H-Index: 26) in total, and is the author or co-author of 6 book chapters.
