Dr. Laura Sánchez-Chapul studied pharmacobiology chemistry and obtained a doctorate in biological chemical sciences from the National School of Biological Sciences of the IPN. She is recognized as a National Researcher level 1 as awarded by the National System of Researchers belonging to CONACYT-Mexico. Dr. Sánchez-Chapul is Head of the Laboratory of Neuromuscular diseases at the National Institute of Rehabilitation “Luis Guillermo Ibarra Ibarra” and a Research Professor at the Faculty of Sciences of the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM).
