My research examines how vegetation responds to environmental change, focusing on drivers such as resource availability, habitat fragmentation, grazing, fire, and land-use. Currently, I study sub-tropical pine ecosystems to assess how tree canopy cover influences plant functional diversity and soil organic carbon accumulation, with the aim of linking vegetation structure to ecosystem processes and informing conservation strategies.
