Enrique Saldívar-Guerra has aB.S. degree in Chemical Engineering and M.Sc. degree in Computer Sciences from the National Autonomous University of Mexico. PhD at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, working under the supervision of Prof. W. Harmon Ray in the field of polymer reaction engineering. He worked in R&D in the polymer industry for 18 years and in 2004 he joined the Center for Research in Applied Chemistry (CIQA) in Mexico as Sr. researcher and professor. At present, he holds the position of Director of Research and Industrial Liaison at the institute. His main areas of research are the synthesis of novel polymers via reversible deactivation radical polymerization, heterogeneous polymerization, sustainability in polymer technology, and the mathematical modeling of polymerization reactors.
