Zhixiong Zeng is an Associate Professor in the School of Earth Sciences and Engineering at Nanjing University. He received his PhD in Geotechnics from Ecole des Ponts ParisTech in 2021. His research interests include landslide and debris flow disasters, unsaturated soil mechanics, environmental geotechnics, nuclear waste disposal, reuse of excavated soils, and climate change impact assessment. He has been lead of four national projects. He is currently serving as a scientific editor/editorial board member of several international journals, and has served as a reviewer for 60 geotechnical/soil mechanics/engineering geology journals.
