Miguel García-Pineda is associate professor in the Computer Science Department of the School of Engineering at Universitat de València. In 2013, he defended his PhD. thesis obtaining the title of Ph.D. in telecommunications from the UPV-Spain and the title of Ph.D. in computer science from the UHA-France. His Ph.D. dissertation received the Outstanding Doctorate Award in June of 2014. His work focuses on the topic of computer networks, specially in wireless networks, multimedia networks, video encoding, and cloud computing, where Dr. Garcia has more than 120 scientific papers published in international conferences and more than 50 papers published in international journals (most of them included in Journal Citation Report). His papers have reached more than 3000 citations. He has been a Cisco Certified Network Associate Instructor since 2007 at Cisco Academy, Universitat de Valencia. He has been a technical committee member of several conferences and journals, and he has also been on the organization committee of several conferences. He is an associate editor and reviewer of several international journals.
