Prof. Dr. Wenhao Yan is a Professor in Crop Genetics at the National Key Laboratory of Crop Genetic Improvement, Huazhong Agricultural University. He obtained a Bachelor's in Life Science at Huazhong Agricultural University in 2006 and a Ph.D. in Plant Molecular Genetics at the National Key Laboratory of Crop Genetic Improvement, Huazhong Agricultural University in 2013. He was a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Potsdam and Humboldt University of Berlin. His research interests are in the following: 1. The genetic basis of wheat yield with a focus on flowering and panicle traits. 2. Crop improvement based on plant regulome and gene editing technology. 3. Molecular basis of wheat polyploidy.
