Prof. Luca Di Palma is an Associate Professor at
Sapienza University in Rome. He is also a Coordinator of the Ph.D. Course in
Chemical Processes for the Industry and the Environment at Sapienza University,
a Founder and Member of the Sapienza start-up company GEEG (Geotechnical and
Environmental Engineering Group), and a Member of the National Executive Board
and the Directive Board of the Italian Association of Chemical Engineering
(AIDIC). His research interests include the biological, chemical, and
electro-chemical processes for industrial wastewater treatment, adsorption and
ionic exchange for water and wastewater purification, nanotechnologies and
nanomaterials for environmental remediation, energy and materials recovery from
industrial wastes, etc. He is the author of more than 200 publications in
international journals and conference proceedings. Since 2019, he has been in
the Stanford University Names World’s Top 2% Scientists. He is also a member of
the Editorial Board of several scientific journals, including The Process
Safety and Environmental Protection (IChemE), Nanomaterials (MDPI), The Journal
of Leather Science and Engineering (Springer), Chemical Engineering
Transactions (AIDIC Servizi, Italy), Sustainability (MDPI), and Current Research
(Hilaris Publisher, Brussels, Belgium).
