Yuanyuan Sun (Member, IEEE) was born in Zibo (Shandong), China, in 1981. She received her B.S. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from the School of Electrical Engineering, Shandong University, Jinan, China, in 2003 and 2009, respectively. She is currently a Professor with the School of Electrical Engineering, Shandong University, doctoral supervisor, candidate for future plans of young scholars of Shandong University. During the doctor study, she was fully funded by NSFC and went to the University of Alberta as joint training doctoral student for one year. In 2014, she was fully funded by NSFC and went to University of Alberta as “National Visiting Scholar” to exchange and study for one year.Her current research interests include harmonic modeling, on-line monitoring of transformer, harmonic contribution determination, and active distribution system analysis. Prof. Sun received her BS and PhD degree in School of Electrical Engineering of Shandong University in 2003 and 2009, respectively. During PhD study, she was fully funded by NSFC and went to the University of Alberta for the joint training of doctoral students for one year. In 2014, she was fully unded by NSFC and went to the University of Alberta as a “National Visiting Scholar” to exchange and study for one year. Her current research interests include low-voltage DC systems, power quality in power systems, new energy grid connections, DC transmission, and power distribution systems.
