Dr. Javier Echeverría is a chemist specializing in Natural Product Chemistry. Currently, he is the Academic and Head of Organic Chemistry at the University de Santiago de Chile. His research areas are focused on Archaeological Chemistry (application of mass spectrometry to study human prehistory), Ethnopharmacology (study of ethnic groups and their use of natural resources as food and/or drugs), and Medicinal Chemistry (design, development, and synthesis of bioactive and pharmaceutical drugs).
