Maria Halabalaki is an Associate Professor at the Division of Pharmacognosy and Natural Products Chemistry, Department of Pharmacy, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA). To date, she has been the author of more than 135 papers in peer-reviewed journals, and her work has also been presented at more than 60 international conferences. She belongs to the coordinating team of several EU and National research programs. In 2015, she was awarded Egon Stahl in silver, an EU medal,
recognizing and promoting young scientists working in the field of Pharmacognosy (Pharmaceutical Biology) and Analytical Phytochemistry. She has 148 publications with 2976 citations and an h-index of 28 (Scopus, 22 November 2023).
