Mao Peng is a senior scientist at the Westerdijk Institute of the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences. He earned his PhD from October 2010 to December 2014 in the Department of Biomolecular Mass Spectrometry and Proteomics at the University of Utrecht. In addition, he was studying for a postdoc position at the GROW School of Oncology and Developmental Biology at Maastricht University from January 2015 to December 2015. He focuses on bioinformatics, machine learning, omics analysis, plant biomass conversion, fungal biodiversity, RNA-seq, and others.
