Filippos Filippatos, MD, is a Pediatrics Resident and has already completed his second academic year as a student in the MSc Program entitled ‘’Pediatric Infectious Diseases’’ at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. Since November 2020, he has contributed to the SARS-CoV-2 immune responses of pediatric population scientific investigation as PhD candidate with a Thesis entitled ‘’Prospective study of seroepidemiology and T-cell immune response in the pediatric population for SARS-CoV-2’’ in the First Department of Pediatrics of "Aghia Sophia" Children's Hospital, which is a major pediatric Greek hospital and also a reference center for pediatric COVID-19 patients. He is currently the winner of the ESPID 2023 Young Investigator Award for Basic Research, the Hellenic Society of Pediatric Infectious Diseases Young Investigator Award and the IDWeek 2022 International Investigator Travel Award from the Pediatric Infectious Disease Society. Laboratory skills: immunofluorescence, immunochromatography, electrochemiluminescence immunoassay, flow cytometry and human DNA extraction.
