Heavy metal ions (HMIs) are very harmful to the ecosystem when they are present in excess of the recommended limits. They are carcinogenic in nature and can cause serious health issues. So, it is important to detect the metal ions quickly and accurately. The metal ions arsenic (As3+), cadmium (Cd2+), chromium (Cr3+), lead (Pb2+), and mercury (Hg2+) are considered to be very toxic among other metal ions. Standard analytical methods like atomic absorption spectroscopy, atomic fluorescence spectroscopy, and X-ray fluorescence spectroscopy are used to detect HMIs. But these methods necessitate highly technical equipment and lengthy procedures with skilled personnel. So, electrochemical sensing methods are considered to be more advantageous because of their quick analysis with precision and simplicity to operate. They can detect a wide range of heavy metals providing real-time monitoring and are cost-effective and enable multiparametric detection. Various sensing applications necessitate severe regulation regarding the modification of electrode surfaces. Numerous nanomaterials such as graphene, carbon nanotubes, and metal nanoparticles have been extensively explored as interface materials in electrode modifiers. These nanoparticles offer excellent electrical conductivity, distinctive catalytic properties, and high surface area resulting in enhanced electrochemical performance. This review examines different HMI detection methods in an aqueous medium by an electrochemical sensing approach and studies the recent developments in interface materials for altering the electrodes.

The development of 6G networks represents a groundbreaking leap in mobile communication, targeting the creation of an Intelligent Network of Everything that seamlessly integrates advanced technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), and the Internet of Everything (IoE). This next-generation network is projected to begin standardization in 2025, with commercial deployment anticipated by 2030. Building on the foundation of its predecessors, 6G aims to deliver ultra-reliable, low-latency, and high-speed communication essential for applications like autonomous systems, immersive virtual environments, and smart cities. This article provides a comprehensive overview of 6G, articulating its vision and identifying the core technologies that will enable its transformative capabilities. The key contributions of this work include a detailed exploration of prospective 6G applications and use cases, such as autonomous systems and integrated communication-sensing scenarios. Additionally, it identifies major challenges—such as advanced coding schemes, energy management, and security—and presents a roadmap for future research in these critical areas. The study also reviews potential coding and modulation techniques, such as non-binary codes and lattice codes, assessing their suitability for 6G’s stringent performance requirements. Security and privacy considerations are also covered, proposing a robust architecture across all network layers to address emerging threats. Furthermore, the article compiles a literature review on 6G visions and surveys, providing valuable insights into the current state of research, highlighting gaps, and guiding future studies. Through the exploration of spectrum advancements, antenna technologies, network intelligence, and AI/ML integration, this work establishes a clear vision for how 6G can reshape global communication infrastructure and drive innovation in a hyper-connected world.

Oceanographic data collection, disaster prevention, aided navigation, critical observation sub-missions, contaminant screening, and seaward scanning are just a few of the submissions that use underwater sensor hubs. Unmanned submerged vehicles (USVs) or autonomous acoustic underwater vehicles (AUVs) through sensors would similarly be able to explore unique underwater resources and gather data when utilized in conjunction with integrated screen operations. The most advanced technological method of oceanic observation is wireless information routing beneath the ocean or generally underwater. Water bottoms are typically observed using oceanographic sensors that collect data at certain ocean zones. Most research on UWSNs focuses on physical levels, even though the localization level, such as guiding processes, is a more recent zone. Analyzing the presenting metrics of the current direction conventions for UWSNs is crucial for considering additional enhancements in a procedure employing underwater wireless sensor networks for locating sensors (UWSNs). Due to their severely constrained propagation, radio frequency (RF) transmissions are inappropriate for underwater environments. This makes it difficult to maintain network connectivity and localization. This provided a plan for employing adequate reliability and improved communication and is used to locate the node exactly using a variety of methods. In order to minimize inaccuracies, specific techniques are utilized to calculate the distance to the destination. It has a variety of qualities, such as limited bandwidth, high latency, low energy, and a high error probability. Both nodes enable technical professionals stationed on land to communicate data from the chosen oceanic zones rapidly. This study investigates the significance, uses, network architecture, requirements, and difficulties of undersea sensors.

An uncontrolled growth of brain cells is known as a brain tumor. When brain tumors are accurately and promptly diagnosed using magnetic resonance imaging scans, it is easier to start the right treatment, track the tumor’s development over time, and select the best surgical techniques. This paper applies advanced and popular methods for preprocessing, segmentation, grading of tumors, and lifetime prediction. On exploring various encoder-decoder architectures, UNet++ architecture was chosen for detecting brain tumors and obtained an accuracy of 98% during the testing phase. The segmented image is used to extract the radiomics features. Despite of several difficulties, data imbalance among the dataset is the common obstacle to survival prediction. To solve and increase the sample size and preserve the class distribution, the synthetic minority oversampling technique and adaptive synthetic approaches are used. After balancing the dataset, the important characteristics are selected using principal component analysis and tree-based feature selection techniques. The collected characteristics are used as input for machine learning techniques including stochastic gradient descent, decision tree, random forest, and support vector machine. The distinction between low-grade glioma and high-grade glioma is investigated as a binary classification. Accuracy, precision, recall, and F1score are used in the performance evaluation. The highest accuracy of 96% is achieved using stochastic gradient descent. Lifetime prediction of high-grade glioma patients is made using regression techniques: Linear, ridge, stochastic gradient descent, and extreme gradient boosting. We have obtained the least mean square error of 93726.45 using the extreme gradient boosting method. The proposed approach is contrasted with the most recent segmentation, grading, and lifetime prediction methods described in the literature.

The planet is the most water-rich place because the oceans cover more than 75% of its land area. Because of the unique activities that occur in the depths, we know very little about oceans. Underwater wireless sensors are tools that can continuously transmit data to one of the source sensors while monitoring and recording their surroundings’ physical and environmental parameters. An Underwater Wireless Sensor Network (UWSN) is the name given to the network created by collecting these underwater wireless sensors. This particular technology has a random path loss model due to the time-varying nature of channel parameters. Data transmission between underwater wireless sensor nodes requires a careful selection of routing protocols. By changing the number of nodes in the model and the maximum speed of each node, performance parameters, such as average transmission delay, average jitter, percentage of utilization, and power used in transmit and receive modes, are explored. This paper focuses on UWSN performance analysis, comparing various routing protocols. A network path using the source-tree adaptive routing-least overhead routing approach (STAR-LORA) Protocol exhibits 85.3% lower jitter than conventional routing protocols. Interestingly, the fisheye routing protocol achieves a 91.4% higher utilization percentage than its counterparts. The results obtained using the QualNet 7.1 simulator suggest the suitability of routing protocols in UWSN.
