Dr. Margarit Gjoka

Margarit Gjoka is a physicist specializing in materials science. He received a BA and master’s in physics from the University of Tirana, Albania in 1978 and 1985, respectively. He gained a PhD in physics at the University of Ioannina in 1999. He received a UNESCO scholarship at Paris 6 University in 1985. He was an assistant professor and professor at the University of Elbasan, Albania from 1985 to 1991. Presently, he is working at the NCSR Demokritos. His activity is focused on the composition and characterization of new magnetic materials (hard and soft) and their applications. He has published numerous papers in scientific periodicals and proceedings of national or international conferences and presented many at international conferences. He has been a member of the European Magnetism Association, the Marie Curie Alumni Association, and the Academy of Sciences of Albania. He has been a member of the scientific committee of some international conferences.
