Dr Suntharalingam obtained his MSci and PhD degrees from Imperial College London. The latter under the guidance of Prof. Ramon Vilar. He undertook postdoctoral studies in Prof. Stephen Lippard’s research group at Massachusetts Institute of Technology as a Misrock Fellow. He began independent research at King’s College London in 2014 as a Leverhulme Fellow and Lecturer in Bioinorganic Chemistry. He is now an Associate Professor in Inorganic Chemistry and the Deputy Head of the School of Chemistry at the University of Leicester. He has received many awards for his research, including the RSC Dalton Young Researchers Award, RSC Inorganic Biochemistry Discussion Group Investigator Award, and one of the Rising Stars in Coordination Chemistry Awards.
