Dr. Cacicedo has a bachelor's degree in biotechnology and molecular biology from the School of Sciences, National University of La Plata, Argentina. He pursued his PhD working with the development of novel biopolymeric matrices for the sustained release of chemotherapeutics at the Nanobiomaterials laboratory in Centro de Investigación y Desarrollo en Fermentaciones Industriales (CINDEFI), Argentina. Currently, he is a Postdoctoral Research Scientist at the laboratory of pediatric immunology and infectious diseases part of the Children´s Hospital, University Medical Center of the Johannes-Gutenberg University, Mainz, Germany. His research is focused on the development of novel therapies based-on mRNA technology and nanomedicine to find solutions for unmet medical needs in pediatrics.
