Donghan Kim has been a Professor in the Department of Electronic Engineering (AgeTech-Service
Convergence Major) at Kyunghee University, Seoul, South Korea. He received a
Ph.D., M.S., and B.S. degrees in electrical engineering at the Korea Advanced
Institute of Science and Technology, Daejeon, South Korea. He completed his
postdoctoral work at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He was an
Exchange professor at Purdue University from 2013 to 2014. He is on the Board
of the International Robot-soccer Committee, Intelligent Robot Standards Forum, and Institute of Control, Robotics and Systems. Earlier, he was in industrial
and commercial hardware development as a senior engineer at Samsung Electronics
for three years, during which time he developed and led numerous mobile phone projects.
