Dr. Malik is an Associate Professor of Computer Science and a highly accomplished researcher in the field of Visual Informatics. He obtained his PhD. from The National University of Malaysia in 2016 and has since been affiliated with Cardiff Metropolitan University, UK. He has held teaching and research positions in Malaysia and the Sultanate of Oman, and is currently working at Gulf College in the latter. His research interests include virtual reality, augmented reality, IoT, virtual technology, artificial intelligence, big data, and computer security. He has co-authored several research papers and is an active reviewer for The Research Council (TRC) of Oman. He is currently working on two research projects and three patents. His accomplishments have been recognized with an Outstanding Reviewer award from the Institute of Industry and Academic Research Incorporated journal and other awards for his publications.
