The rapid increase of information and communications technology is manifested by its tremendous positive outcomes on the economy, business, and society. However, online application use by adolescents, especially mobile technology, has caused uneasiness among parents owing to cyber grooming incidents. This study reflects on the current cyber grooming situation. Investigating the current state of online grooming and the means through which parents can ensure the online safety of their adolescents from adults offering “candy” or wanting to start a relationship is necessary. Teen behavior related scholars believe that parents play a vital role in building safe environments. We conducted a qualitative study by interviewing 19 parents with children between the ages of 13 and 17 years in an urban setting to determine the level of the parents’ awareness. Interviews were conducted based on five key components, namely, social media, unknown friends, sex education, private chats, and family time. The results present the actual situations of the parents and highlight related challenges as well as adolescents’ ignorance and vulnerability to cyber grooming. Results are mapped to three main determinants of cyber grooming, namely, parental factors, self-efficacy, and self-regulation. We conclude with insights and recommendations for parents, schools, and the government to be vigilant for online predators by increasing awareness of cyber grooming.

Significant advancements in Information Technology (IT) have improved work processes, efficiency, and business operations, but these advancements bring environmental sustainability issues. IT's role in climate change, resource management, waste production, and public health is critical yet often overlooked. Excessive energy use in IT operations contributes to negative environmental impacts. This research focuses on analyzing the behavioral determinants influencing information and communication technology (ICT) employees' participation in Green Information System (Green IS) practices in Malaysia. Additionally, it seeks to ascertain whether Malaysian ICT employees have a clear intention of incorporating Green IS in a bid to combat the aforementioned issues and guarantee the viability of a sustainable green environment. The study employed quantitative methods, and data was collected from 183 respondents from various ICT employees working in Malaysia Digital (MD) Status companies. The collected data was analyzed to examine the four Technology Readiness Index (TRI) constructs—Optimism, Innovativeness, Insecurity, and Discomfort. Results indicated that Optimism and Innovativeness significantly influenced attitudes towards Green IS, while Insecurity had a negative impact, and Discomfort was insignificant. The findings revealed that subjective norms significantly influence Malaysian ICT employees more than perceived behavioral control. Attitude was a full mediator between TRI components and the willingness to implement Green IS. The study provides new insights into the TRI’s application in Green IS and highlights attitude's mediating role. This emphasizes how crucial attitude is in determining users’ intentions to adopt Green IS, underscoring the necessity of taking proactive measures to alter attitudes and perceptions of Green IS prior to its broader acceptance. Ultimately, the research revealed that attitude indirectly influences the genuine intention to adopt Green IS among Malaysian ICT employees. The findings contribute to formulating new policies to adopt green IS in organizations and raise awareness about environmental sustainability among employees.

This paper explores the possible effects of artificial intelligence (AI) on educational assessments with a focus on implementation challenges, assessment accuracy and institutional preparedness. Online questionnaires that included quantitative and qualitative methods were used to collect data from 68 postgraduate students and teachers at a Malaysian university utilising a sequential case study methodology. We used a self-designed tool comprising a validated questionnaire with Cronbach's alpha (0.76). The results draw attention to ethical questions, assessment accuracy problems, and a notable information gap regarding the use of artificial intelligence in education. Teachers had neutral to somewhat positive opinions on how artificial intelligence affects assignment accuracy though they voiced worries about its limitations. Although the integration of artificial intelligence shows potential, teachers underlined the necessity of further training and more solid institutional support. Though issues including ethical considerations and instructor preparedness still exist, artificial intelligence has the potential to improve assessment accuracy and efficiency. Good integration calls for a mixed strategy combining human supervision with AI's advantages. This paper emphasizes the need for institutional policies and professional growth to help artificial intelligence adoption in the sector. Maximizing the advantages of artificial intelligence and reducing its negative effects depend on addressing the worries of teachers.
