Prof. Sergei Odintsov is an ICREA Research Professor at the Institut de Ciències de l'Espai, Barcelona. He completed his MS studies in Physics at Tomsk University, in 1981, PhD studies in Physics at Tomsk University, in 1985 and Doctor of Science (superior of PhD) at Bogoluibov ITP,  Kiev in 1991. He was named a Highly Cited Researcher in the field of Physics in 2014–2018 and Highly Cited Researcher in the field of Cross-Field in 2023 and awarded the European Prize in Gravitational Physics: Amaldi Medal in 2014. He has published several books and more than 700 scientific publications,  which were cited more than 70000 times, two papers being cited more than 3000 times each. He is an honorary professor of several universities. His research interests include cosmology, astrophysics, inflation, bounce and dark energy era, quantum gravity, modified gravity, black holes, and general entropy studies.
