Arno Janse van Vuuren holds an MSc and PhD in Physics from the Nelson Mandela University, Gqeberha. He is currently a research microscopist and facilities manager of the Centre for High Resolution Electron Microscopy, Nelson Mandela University, Gqeberha. His specific focus and area of research interest is the study of the microstructural effects of swift heavy ions on insulators using high resolution transmission electron microscopy techniques.
