My main scientific interest has been the analysis of the immune response induced by vaccines against beta-amyloid, the major component of extracellular plaques found in Alzheimer's Disease (AD). The aim of this line of research is the development of an immunotherapy for AD. Recently I have been interested in the study of extracellular vescicles produced by cancer cells, with particular interest in understanding the effect, the composition and functionality of cancer- EVs on tumor progression.
