Xiongbin Wu received a B.Sc. degree in geophysics from Peking University, Beijing, China, in 1990, and a Ph.D. degree in space physics from Wuhan University, Wuhan, China, in 1999. He is currently a Professor of radio physics with the School of Earth and Space Science and Technology, Wuhan University. His research interests include the development of high frequency (HF) radar, HF distributed hybrid sky-surface wave radar, and HF/microwave radar remote sensing of ocean dynamics. Dr. Wu has received several awards from the China Ocean Engineering Society, the Ministry of Science and Technology of China, and the Ministry of Education of China.
