Information

Melika Hinaje was born in Nancy, France, in 1978. She received the M.S. degree in electrical engineering from the University of Nancy, Nancy, France in 2002, and the Ph.D. degree from the National Polytechnic Institute of Lorraine (INPL), Nancy, France, in 2005. Since 2006, she has been an Assistant Professor at National Polytechnic Institute of Lorraine, Nancy, France. Her research activities in the department of electrical engineering (Groupe de Recherche en Energie Electrique) concern fuel cells. She has defended her Habilitation qualification (accreditation to supervise research) in june 2012. Since September 2015, she has been Professor at Université de Lorraine in the same research laboratory. She used to be during 5 years responsible of one (of the three) applicative domains “Electrochemical sources and storages” of the GREEN laboratory. Her research domain concerns modelling of electrochemical sources, in particular fuel cells. Using theoretical tools of various disciplines e.g. fluid mechanics, electricity, electrochemistry, M. Hinaje has established models which can be validated by conventional characterization methods e.g. impedance spectroscopy and by means of identification methods used in electrical engineering e.g. idle operation or short-circuited systems. She has supervised 7 PhD students and her Scientific production is 36 papers in international journals link to fuel cell and fuel cell systems, 4 invited lectures
