Murat Kaya Yapici received a B.S. and a Ph.D., both in Electrical Engineering, from Texas A&M University, College Station, TX, USA, in 2004 and 2009, respectively. From 2009 to 2010, he was a Postdoctoral Research Associate with the Solid State Electronics, Photonics and Nano-Engineering Laboratory at Texas A&M University. He is a Faculty Member in the Electronics Engineering Program of Sabanci University, Istanbul, Turkey, and an Affiliate Faculty Member in the Department of Electrical Engineering, University of Washington, Seattle, WA, USA. His research interests include MEMS/NEMS, nanotechnology, sensors/actuators, wearable and flexible electronics, point-of-care devices, microfluidics, and acousto-optic devices for biological and medical applications, as well as semiconductor process technology, novel nanofabrication based on scanning probes and system-level integration of nanomaterials, MEMS, and CMOS. Dr. Yapici is a member of SPIE and URSI. He has been on the technical program committee of IEEE Sensors, IEEE BSN-BHI conferences.
