Dr. Weili Kong is performing postdoctoral research at the Wexner Medical Center at the Ohio State University. He earned his Ph.D. in animal virus and molecular biology at China Agricultural University. Then he received an assistant professorship offer from Tianjin University of Science and Technology. He resigned from Tianjin University of Science and Technology and then began training at the University of Rochester Medical Center. His major focus is to identify new host factors which interact with viruses. He has been working on the influenza virus, HIV, and Zika virus.
