Professor Bruno Merk (B.M.) holds a Royal Academy of Engineering Chair in Emerging Technologies on “iMAGINE – a Breakthrough Technology to Make More out of Existing Spent Nuclear Fuel”. He recently changed to this position from the Royal Academy of Engineering/National Nuclear Laboratory Chair in Computational Modelling in nuclear engineering. Before moving to the U.K., he was the lead for the innovative reactor safety and nuclear waste management components of the NUSAFE programme at the Helmholtz Association in Germany.
