Urska Janzic, MD, Medical Oncology specialist. I graduated from the Medical Faculty in Ljubljana, Slovenia, in 2010. Soon after, I started my internship and then the residency programme in Medical Oncology in 2011. During my residency, I passed the ESMO exam in 2017, and two years after that, I also passed the Slovenian national exam and gained my licence as a Medical Oncologist. After that, I started working as a Medical Oncologist specialist, mainly with patients with thoracic malignancies. I also spent two months at the Royal Marsden Hospital in London, GB, in 2019 under an ESMO fellowship program and gained much insight into the various types of practices being employed at other institutes. I work as a PI and SI on various academic and commercial trials.  Other than that, I am also constantly trying to evaluate and improve the quality of the patient care that is provided at our institute. I also took over as head of the hospital registry of patients with thoracic malignancies that has been run at our clinic for the past 10 years and helps us evaluate our work even further. Besides that, I am an active member of the ESMO and ASCO societies and am trying to collaborate more with the EORTC quality of life group, always trying to collaborate and present our work at annual conferences.
