Dr. Bai-Qiao Chen is currently an Assistant Professor at the Centre for Marine Technology and Ocean Engineering (CENTEC) at Instituto Superior Tecnico (IST), University of Lisbon (UL). His research interests focus on the ultimate strength of ship structures, welding residual stress, photogrammetry, corrosion and grounding, and the digitalization of offshore structures, including subsea pipelines and FOWT platforms. He is also a member of the International Ship and Offshore Structures Congress (ISSC).
