Dr. Ajaykumar. A. P. has received his Ph.D. in Zoology from the University of Calicut, Kerala, India. During his research period, he isolated, fractionated, and elucidated the primary structures of the adipokinetic neuropeptide hormones from the insects using sophisticated techniques like High-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC), Matrix-assisted laser desorption ionization mass spectrometry (MALDI-MS) and MALDI-MS/MS analyses. He is a recipient of Junior Research Fellowship of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), New Delhi, in Life Sciences and UGC-NET in MEd (Master of Education). Currently, he is conducting research on the synthesis and biochemical properties of nano-bio materials, Biochemical characterization of Invertebrate venom, Biochemical characterization of insect defensive secretions, insect neuropeptide hormone characterization, etc.
