Dr. Ricardo K. Sakai received his Bachelor of Science degree at the Universidade de São Paulo and his Doctorate at the University at Albany, SUNY, where he worked as a Research Associate. He joined Howard University in 2011, working at the HU Beltsville Campus. Currently, he is an Adjunct Professor and Senior Research Scientist in Program in Atmospheric Science. Dr. Sakai’s interests are the interpretation of micrometeorological measurements in suburban, industrial, and forested landscapes; atmospheric boundary layer processes; air quality; spatial validity of single point measurements in a synoptic scale; instrumentation assembly; and upper air data quality assessment.
