Prof. Dr. Arkadiusz Gola

Author Arkadiusz Gola, D.Sc., Ph.D. Eng., works as an associate professor at the Department of Production and Computerization at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the Lublin University of Technology in Poland. The scope of research topics carried out in recent years include problems of manufacturing systems design, AI applications, operations management, and intralogistics. He is an author, or co-author, of 9 scientific monographies, 110 research papers, and 117 chapters. Dr Gola's papers have 946 citations according to Web of Science and 1166 citations according to the Scopus database. His H-index in Web of Science is 21 while it is 22 in the Scopus database. In 2020, 2021, and 2022, Dr Gola was indexed as one of the 2% most cited researchers in the world. He is an editor-in-chief of Applied Computer Science (www.acs.pollub.pl) and he is a member of several scientific and organization committees of numerous conferences. Dr Gola is a president of the Polish Associate for Knowledge Promotion and a member of several associations, including the Polish Society of Production Management. He is the author of numerous expert opinions and opinions on innovation for the production and service environment. Since 2014, Dr Gola has been an expert at the Polish National Centre for Research and Development.
