Francisco Moreira (PhD) is a Lecturer in the Department of Production and Systems Engineering in the School of Engineering at the University of Minho, Portugal. He holds a PhD in Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering (from the UK) and is affiliated with the ALGORITMI/LASI R&D Center at the University of Minho. His main research interests are as follows: lean and green production, quantum agile manufacturing, cleaner production, LCA, remanufacturing, active learning, and project/problem-based learning in engineering education. He is the author of 50+ peer-reviewed publications, including papers in international conferences and journals, book chapters, and a book. He has supervised 50+ master's dissertations, a doctoral thesis, and a post-doc, and was a member of the jury in 110+ academic Vivas.
