Prof. Dr. Eng. Ionelia Voiculescu (https://orcid.org/0000-0002-9065-3587) is a full professor at the Department of Quality Engineering and Industrial Technologies within the Faculty of Industrial Engineering and Robotics of the National University of Science and Technology Politehnica Bucharest, Romania. She completed her studies as the first ranked in the country in the specialization of Welding Engineering, obtained the title of doctor with specialization in industrial engineering (Study of hydrogen diffusion in steels for welded constructions in 1999) within the university, and was awarded numerous awards and distinctions. Recently, she led the project "New composite material with ceramic layers deposited by laser processing for high temperature and corrosion applications" (LASCERHEA) - project no.: PN-III-P2-2.1-PED-2019-3953, "Digital Combatant", no. 21089/04.09.2023. She has published over 90 papers in ISI Clarvate indexed journals and is the director of the metallographic testing laboratory - LAMET, being involved in various research projects and coordinating doctorates at national and international level. Her teaching disciplines include industrial technologies, welding, surface protection, heat treatments, and soldering or brazing, and her field of expertise is materials testing and characterization.
