Prof. Stephen John Allen received his MD from the University of Birmingham Medical School, UK, in 1992. He is a Professor of Paediatrics at Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine, UK, and Secretary of the Commonwealth Association of Paediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition. His current research interests include environmental enteric dysfunction, malnutrition, diarrhoea, inflammatory bowel disease, and probiotics.
