Prof. Dr. Yanyang Wu is currently an associate professor and doctoral supervisor of the College of Food
Science and Technology, Hunan Agricultural University. In 2008, he received a master’s degree in biochemistry and molecular biology from Hunan Normal University. In 2013, he received his Ph.D. in cell biology from the Department of Biology at Tsinghua University. Since 2017, he has been a postdoctoral
fellow at the National Marine Food Engineering Research Center, Dalian Polytechnic University. His research direction is to integrate cell biology, yeast genetics, biochemistry, molecular biology and other research methods, using different model organisms from yeast to mice as models to study (1) the regulatory mechanisms of autophagy at the cellular and molecular levels and (2) the mechanisms of small molecules and peptides in food on human immunity and health regulation.
