Sr. Torres has a Mining Engineering degree from Universidad Nacional San Cristobal de Huamanga (1984), master's from Universidad Nacional del Altiplano (1998), and doctorate (2004) and post-doctorate (2004-2008) in Mining Engineering from the Technical University of Lisbon (2004). He has more than 25 years of experience in the mining industry, and his research and teaching focus on mining engineering and geotechnical areas.
