I am Associate Professor of Marine Internal Combustion Engines in the Section of Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering of Hellenic Naval Academy. Previously I have served in Hellenic Naval Academy as Assistant Professor and Lecturer of Marine Internal Combustion Engines. I have graduated from the School of Mechanical Engineering of National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), Greece, where I obtained his PhD in 2006 and his 5-years Diploma in 1999. During my postgraduate studies I was a research scholar of National Technical University of Athens. I have research experience in the field of internal combustion engines by participating in research projects relative to the efficiency improvement and to the reduction of pollutant emissions in spark ignition and compression ignition engines. I have also professional experience in the operational and environmental design of power installations using conventional and renewable energy sources. I have also many years teaching experience in Greek universities related to energy-related courses such as internal combustion engines, applied thermodynamics, heat transfer, fluid mechanics and HVAC technology. I have also co-organized many sessions in international conferences as member of Combustion Committee and Fuels and Lubes Committee of the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE). I have obtained academic awards for my published work, my engineering diploma thesis and my PhD thesis.
