In this study, we proposed a novel approach to improve centrifugal pump performance with regard to the pump head, pump efficiency, and power. Firstly, to establish constraints, an optimal numerical model that accounted for factors such as pump efficiency and the head was considered. The pump was designed, and an artificial intelligence algorithmic approach was applied to the pump before performing experiments. We considered a set of models by selecting the parameters of the centrifugal pump casing section area, the interference of the impeller, the volute tongue length, and the volute tongue angle. The weights of the factors of safety and displacement on the optimization indices were estimated. The matrix of the weights for the optimal process was less than 38% or greater than 62%. This approach guarantees a complicated multi-objective optimization problem. The results show that the centrifugal pump performances were improved.

The design of cooperative applications combining several unmanned aerial and aquatic vehicles is now possible thanks to the considerable advancements in wireless communication technology and the low production costs for small, unmanned vehicles. For example, the information delivered over the air instead of inside an optical fiber causes it to be far simpler for an eavesdropper to intercept and improperly change the information. This article thoroughly analyzes the cybersecurity industry’s efficiency in addressing the rapidly expanding requirement to incorporate compelling security features into wireless communication systems. In this research, we used a combination of DEA window analysis with the Malmquist index approach to assess the efficiency of the cybersecurity industry. We used input and output factors utilizing financial data from 2017–2020 sources from a US market. It was found that U1—Synopsys and U9—Fortinet exhibited the best performances when relating Malmquist and DEA window analysis. By evaluating ten big companies in the cybersecurity industry, we indicate that U2—Palo Alto Networks and U6—BlackBerry Ltd. companies needed significant improvements and that four other companies were generally more efficient. The findings of this study provide decision-makers a clear image and it will be the first study to evaluate and predict the performance of cyber security organizations, providing a valuable reference for future research.

The traditional meat and poultry farms use a fixed quantity of supply, which creates an imbalance between demand and supply. Due to this imbalance, a huge amount is spent on balancing the requirements. There is an inequality among demand and supply since typical meat and poultry farms use a fixed amount of supply. A lot of money is spent trying to balance the requirements because of this mismatch. In addition, when connecting and building the meat and poultry farm system, the procedure ignores the impact on the environment. The owner’s primary goals are to retain massive profits and raise reliability. The classical method neglects the effect on the environment while linking and designing the meat and poultry farm system. The main aim of the owner is to increase the quality and maintain the maximum profit. This paper deals with the meat and poultry farms in two folds. In the first step, the IoT based system is implemented for the traceability and demand‐supply monitoring. The second steps include optimization of the supply network to reduce the carbon emission from the transportation. Both steps take data analytics as an input to process the final result for the farm to run and optimize. Effective inventory optimization algorithms have been shown to be able to evaluate a significant portion of previous sales data and anticipate inventory future demand by taking seasonality and lead times into account. Revenue, productivity, and customer satisfaction are just a few of the business variables that these strategies may affect. Finally, the comparison is done with the traditional farm and supply chain on the points of demand‐supply balance, cost, carbon emission, and wastage. It is found that the farms using data analytics to optimize the overall system perform better and with 37% more efficient than the traditional systems.

Numerous scholars have thoroughly studied the topic of choosing machines considering the progress and technological growth seen in machinery options. This scholarly investigation explores decision-making methods specifically designed to aid the selection of machines in manufacturing businesses. Additionally, this research emphasizes the need for decision-making frameworks in manufacturing facilities, highlighting the importance of smart machine selection strategies in those contexts. In this research, we show a dual-MCDM approach that includes DEX—decision experts—and the EDAS method that are popularly employed to solve decision-making problems in both academic and practical industries. Throughout the previous decade, business leaders and managers increasingly use MCDM solutions to overcome machine selection challenges. At this time, while various decision-support technologies and procedures have been developed and used, it is essential that we discuss the sequence of our study objectives and drive the proposed method for widening use in practical firms. In short, this research may be helpful as a literature review for MDCM studies and related topics. It will also help executives, engineers, and specialists determine which equipment or machines to create and increase product quality in manufacturing and industry.

Innovative carbon reduction and sustainability solutions are needed to combat climate change. One promising approach towards cleaner air involves the utilization of lithium-ion batteries (LIB) and electric power vehicles, showcasing their potential as innovative tools for cleaner air. However, we must focus on the entire battery life cycle, starting with production. By prioritizing the efficiency and sustainability of lithium-ion battery manufacturing, we can take an essential step toward mitigating climate change and creating a healthier planet for future generations. A comprehensive case study of the leading LIB manufacturers demonstrates the usefulness of the suggested hybrid methodology. Initially, we utilized the Malmquist model to evaluate these firms’ total efficiency while dissecting their development into technical and technological efficiency change components. We employed the Epsilon-Based Measure (EBM) model to determine each organization’s efficiency and inefficiency scores. The findings show that the EBM approach successfully bridged the gap in the LIB industry landscape. Combined with the Malmquist model, the resulting framework offers a powerful and equitable evaluation paradigm that is easily applicable to any domain. Furthermore, it accurately identifies the top-performing organizations in specific aspects across the research period of 2018–2021. The EBM model demonstrates that most organizations have attained their top level, except for A10, which has superior technology adoption but poor management. A1, A2, A4, A6, A8, A9, and A10 were unable to meet their targets because of the COVID-19 pandemic, despite productivity improvements. A12 leads the three highest-scoring enterprises in efficiency and total productivity changes, while A3 and A5 should focus on innovative production techniques and improved management. The managerial implications provide vital direction for green energy practitioners, enhancing their operational effectiveness. Concurrently, consumers can identify the best LIB manufacturers, allowing them to invest in long-term green energy solutions confidently.

Due to the growth of Business as a Service (BaaS) marketplaces, it is crucial to have evaluation methods that can support decision-making processes. This study presents an approach that combines the Grey Model (GM) and Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) to maximize efficiency assessment in BaaS marketplaces. By leveraging the strengths of both models, this strategy offers a decision-making framework with insights. Integrating GM’s forecasting capabilities and DEA’s efficiency measurements allows for evaluating BaaS marketplace performance. This research empowers stakeholders, including BaaS providers and users, to make decisions based on data analysis, leading to improved efficiency and maximized outcomes. For each BaaS company, we apply GM (1, 1) to forecast values from 2023 to 2026. We use the Malmquist model to calculate three productivity scores: catch-up frontier shift and Malmquist Productivity Index (MPI). These scores are based on three input variables (assets, total liabilities, and total equity) and one output variable (revenue), considering the top 12 BaaS companies in the global market from 2018 to 2026. On average, the BaaS Company that showed productivity was BC05 Oracle, followed by BC12 Alibaba. Conversely, BC02 IBM was found to be the BaaS business. Moreover, the study reveals that most BaaS enterprises tend to follow patterns of development. These findings highlight the importance of considering technical efficiency change indexes as predictors of productivity growth. The research also emphasizes the need for BaaS companies to broaden their focus beyond technology and prioritize resource utilization. This strategic shift can pave the way for opportunities. Ensure long-term success and resilience. This insightful perspective, backed by evidence, is a rationale for companies to adopt a holistic approach that combines technical advancements with optimal resource management.
