Fuwen Qiu received a B.S. degree in Marine Science from the Ocean University of China, Qingdao, China, in 2007 and a Ph.D. degree in Physical Oceanography from the South China Sea Institute of Oceanography, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Guangzhou, China, in 2012. After joining the Third Institute of Oceanography, Ministry of Natural Resources in 2012, he worked as a physical oceanographer and has been an Associate Research Professor since 2018. His areas of research include ocean currents, ocean temperature and salinity, air-sea interactions, and the ecosystem.
