Ricardo Faria Ribeiro graduated in Dentistry from the School of Dentistry of Ribeirão Preto, University of São Paulo (FORP-USP), in 1985. He completed his Master’s degree (1993) and Doctorate (1998) in Oral Rehabilitation, from FORP-USP. In 2001 he took the professor exam in Removable Partial Prosthesis, also at FORP-USP. Since 1994, he has been a professor at RDIDP at FORP-USP, where he is currently a Full Professor (2005-) in the Department of Dental Materials and Prostheses. He was Chief and Deputy Chief of the Department of Dental Materials and Prosthetics, Supervisor and Deputy Supervisor of Dental Clinics at FORP-USP, Executive and Financial Director of the Ribeirão Preto Dental Foundation—FUNORP. He has coordinated and participated in several research projects and currently coordinates projects funded by FAPESP and CNPq. He is a member of the editorial board of Medicina and Academia Materials Science. He is the leader of the “GEPROIMP” Research Group at FORP-USP. He has experience in the area of Dentistry, with an emphasis on Dental Prostheses, Dental Implants and Dental Materials, working mainly on the following topics: titanium, removable partial dentures, dental alloys, casting, prosthesis on implants and stress analysis. He has won several awards resulting from his research production.
