Maria Teresa Congedo is an Adjunct Professor at the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart. She received her degree in Medicine and Surgery from the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart, Rome, in 2004. She finished her internship in the Thoracic Surgery Department from 2001 to 2004. She achieved the qualification to practice the medical profession at the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart with top marks in 2005. She registered with the Lecce Medical Association in 2005. She achieved the Specialization Diploma in Thoracic Surgery with a score of 50/50. She received her Level II Master’s degree in Robotics in Thoracic Surgery at the University of PISA in 2018. She has been a medical director at the Thoracic Surgery Department of the Gemelli Polyclinic since 2010. She is a coordinator of the lung cancer PCA of the Gemelli Polyclinic Foundation. She is also the treasurer of the Italian Society of Thoracic Surgery.
